Visit to a farm

My friend, Teri, has a farm and we went for a visit: Noah loved the horses.
Zeke was helping to water the horses

Gathering eggs.
Feeding the pigs.

Riding the "donkey" to see some of the other property.
This makes me want to sell our house and move to the country. The kids loved running around and being around all those animals.

Poetry

Since we have been discussing homeschooling, I've been checking out lots of books from the library to review to see if it's something we might could use. (We have decided to homeschool next year, by the way) I had requested this Poetry book for us to look at to see if it would be a good resource for us to purchase. Plus the fact that it's just nice to enjoy a good poem every now and then. So this has been laying around and Tony has been reading through it and finding interesting ones to read to the kids.

I have since bought the above book from Amazon and while the cover is different, the content is the same!

Garden

The garden is growing and the strawberries are doing great this year! I picked this bowl full this morning!

April Grocery Report

I have been very distracted by our pondering whether or not to homeschool and researching curriculums for this plan. Therefore, my time spent planning and researching grocery deals has diminished and when I pulled this report up (in June) I was shocked and disappointed.

Spending for April: $776 YIKES!

So far for the year:
Jan $550
Feb $468
Mar $479
Apr $776

Average $568

What a difference a little research and careful planning makes!

Track Awards

Even though our pictures aren't very good, the boys all had a great track season. The did well, had lots of fun and set some new PRs!
