Garden Time

This is my tiny garden. This year I have planted a squash plant, a cantaloupe, rows of sugar snap peas and green beans, corn, tomatoes and carrots.
This is my strawberry patch. There are lots of green berries right now!

This is really supposed to be a flower bed but it has another squash and 5 pepper plants.
I also have several herbs planted.
Hoping for a good growing season!

Recent Read

This is one of the books that I am currently reading. I love to read and I love to read about many different things. I'm reading this book because Tony and I have been discussing the benefits that homeschooling might provide for our children. This book is very insightful into this family's lifestyle while homeschooling. We are concerned that our children are becoming merely a number or potential test score in our school system. We are also concerned about the pressure being put on them to conform and test well and that it could cause a dislike for learning or at the least force them to only learn the things being tested on. Am I rambling? Well, that is what is on my mind right now!

Easter Fun at BeeBee and Granddaddy's

Why is it that most of my Easter pictures are always of their backsides running off to find eggs???!!! I did not get one single picture of Lilly's face! And only a slight side view of Noah's!

March Grocery Spending

In March, my grocery spending was $479. Yeah under my $500 budget! Still looking to have a really good "low" month of $400, but we have to eat!

So far this year:

January $550.
February $468
March $479

average so far: $499

It is important to note that this includes sales tax. Unfortunately in Alabama, there is sales tax on food. We are one of a few states who taxes food. It is really sad. This is one tax I disagree with. I feel that the poor could greatly benefit it this tax was lifted!
