Pioneer Day

Noah's hall of 7 3rd grade classes enjoyed Pioneer Day. They dressed up, ate Johnny cakes, panned for gold, made butter, made quilt squares, etc. It was a fun day!

Family Tree Project

Noah had a school project that the whole family was to work on over the Thanksgiving break. We had to decorate a tree and Noah had to write a story about it. We all jumped in and got it done! Painting, stamping, glitter and all things messy! But we had fun!

Zeke's New Mattress

Zeke has not been sleeping good in his toddler bed and we needed to get him a twin bed anyway since Glen is working on his Racecar bed. We finally did it. We picked out Striped sheets at Target. And Zeke was thrilled! He loves stripes! When you ask him what he wants to wear, he says "stripes!". A few days later, his diaper leaked onto his sheets and I was taking them off to wash... he cried!!!! sobbed! like I was taking the sheets away from him. He was very excited to get them back on his bed!

Grilling in Winter

We love to Grill! Tony even gots out in the freezing temperatures to do it for us! I snapped a few pics recently of him grilling us some kabobs! Yummy, this is one of my favorite recipes!

Pilgrim Feast

Eli had a Pilgrim program and feast at school this year! Isn't this costume absolutely adorable. Some of the moms in his class helped with these! Tony got to attend the program (while I was with my own class). He said Eli was one of the few boys singing all the lyrics and doing all the hand motions! He is so musical!

Dressing the Turkey

When Noah was in kindergarten, he had to "dress" a turkey for Thanksgiving. Eli had the same project this year! And how cute it turned out. Eli made his an artist! Go figure! - My little crafter!

Lincoln Logs

Here are a few pics of Zeke playing with his Lincoln Logs!

A Visit from a Friend

This past weekend, Lauren and Drew came for a visit with their Nana, Kathy. Kathy was kind enough to bring them by for a visit. Somehow our kids our "bosom buddies" with theirs. They have such a special connection. We saw them once over the summer for a brief visit and we went up to their house for an overnight at Christmas break last year!

Kathy was sweet enough to take them to see a Movie and play around and they were so happy to see one another!
Here is a picture of them all together!

Veteran's Day Fun

We met a few friends at the park today since the kids were out of school. With a park full of jungle gyms, slides and swings, this is where the kids spent the majority of their time playing!

Trains at McWane Center

The trains are back and McWane Center and we went to check them out! It is really amazing to watch all those model trains!
Other fun:
Yes, Eli is under a car pretending to work on it! Cool, huh!

And Zeke is changing the tire!

Here Zeke is digging for dinosaur bones!

This was a cool game that Noah and Eli really enjoyed - you had to stay away from the red dot as it zoomed around on the floor!

Picking our Christmas Tree

The tree farm where we get our Christmas trees offers to let you come and pretag yours in November. We have never done this before, but last year when we went to get our tree, the best ones were all tagged SOLD, so we decided to do it this year..... There are LOTS of trees to choose from:
And after much searching and lots of walking up and down and all around we finally selected this one:

Eli made Student of the Week!

Eli made student of the week in his class last week! He was so excited!

Little Drummer Boy

Zeke and I were making music and I was able to snap a few pics... they aren't very good but isn't he cute?

Trunk or Treat and Halloween

Here are a few pics from Trunk or Treat and Halloween.

This is Zeke and his best friend from school, Madi: Noah wore his astronaut suit to school on Friday for Career Dress up and broke the zipper. I didn't have time to drive and get a new one, since the closest store with any decent sewing supplies is about 30 minutes away. So he opted to be a Jedi again (instead of pinning his astronaut costume and trying to make it work.)
They love to Trick or Treat but we stayed out too long and we didn't have many trick-or-treaters after we got home, so they missed out on getting to hand out candy! Zeke was really cute this year saying "Trick or Treat" in his cute little way.... the bigger kids got way ahead of us and he had a good time getting lots of attention all for himself from each house! I mean, who doesn't adore a curly headed fireman! ha, ha!
